Carol Hanlon has been acknowledged for her small business achievements with local, state & national awards ‘since the 1970’s’ as owner/designer of her own fashion manufacturing, wholesale, retail, & export business for 20 years. Since 1994, Carol established not-for-profit community organisations in WA, Belmont Business Enterprise Centre Inc. (BBEC & BEC Global) & Textile Clothing Footwear Resource Centre Western Australia Inc. (TCFWA & TCF Global) in 1998. Carol’s NFP projects have assisted over 32,000 small businesses across Australia and globally; Delivers women in business training & mentoring across Australia & globally. Awarded Best Metropolitan BEC in Australia; twice awarded Best National BEC Manager; served as Local Government councillor; Accredited Business Facilitator; Graduate Australian Institute Company Directors; City of Perth ‘100 Champions of WA’; inducted WA Women’s Hall of Fame; named ‘50 Western Australian Women of Success’; National Winner ‘Empowering Women in Community or Organisation in Australia’; Presents NGO forums annually since 2012 during United Nations CSW, New York on ‘Economic Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs; Awarded APEC Philippines ‘Women Icons of APEC’; Women Economic Forums, India recognised ‘Iconic Women Creating a Better World for All’ Award & The Hague Netherlands ‘Exceptional Women of Excellence’ Award.
