Spending entire childhood at Bengaluru with my parents and sibling and pursuing my studies in management from RV college, the urge to do something for the society started at school (Nirmala Convent )when I was part of CMCA (children movement for civic awareness) started by Mrs. Kathyayini Chamaraj who is currently Executive trustee at civic Bangalore BBMP, where I was part of civic awareness events , I studied In Baldwin women’s college where I got a chance to join NCC (national cadet corps) associate officer Mrs. Dolly Paul where she trained and under her supervision was part of many events and activities and was ranked as Senior under officer where I got a chance to be a part of national integration camp (NIC) to represent Karnataka have completed “ NCC C” certificate with “A” grade. My parents have major impact on my life , my father instilled strong conscience and mother thought me to be strong and independent and my role model who I always look upon is Kiran Bedi ( 1st women IPS officer and social activist), After college personally started understanding the problems faced by underprivileged children’s and women’s in our society which made huge impact on my life , started teaching kids in my free time and to talk to women’s who have faced some sort of domestic violence or abuse or any other issues to understand in depth. Children’s from government schools are lacking access to quality education and are deprived of the skills necessary and to provide them that support to bridge that gap is the main motto we people for passion team have organised biggest Toy Drive in town benefitting 650 underprivileged children since new year 2020, we have setup 7 science labs in government schools from our Rotary club and have planned to setup 10 more within this month. People for passion is a non profit registered organisation, it is a team of passionate people who have joined hands to make positive difference in society uplifting human values. we have organised projects involving elders and children. Main Focus is on women who have faced domestic violence and abuse and who are been struggling to overcome helping them to be independent and also legal support in certain cases, have been conducting various activities at old age homes and government schools and private schools across Bangalore to create awareness on community service and their individual responsibility , blood donation drives, health checkups for elders, polio drive, cleanliness drive, dance and English training for elders, traffic awareness programs and many other initiatives . I love to teach children’s and now they have become part of my life, I teach them regularly English and Dance and also to elders at old age homes and I am happy to see them learn and enjoy and being a dancer I thought this was the best way to teach and learn and teaching special kids is been the most beautiful experience in my life, Our Toy drive initiative is been started to spread smiles and bring joy to children. Understanding animal needs and spreading awareness on animal rights among children’s in schools and students from colleges also to make them aware of their responsibilities towards society have conducted various sessions on community service, helping children who are treated for cancer to come out of that trauma they face for them to be normal like other children’s in terms of studies and activities is also one among the priority, The most vulnerable people in our communities need us now more than ever and in this regards People for Passion(NGO) has taken a campaign called Hunger To Hope where we distribute dry grocery kits, food and medical aid to the needy during the coronavirus crisis in Bengaluru. We have been serving continuously during this pandemic and we continue to serve people in need.10+ volunteers involved 2000+ dry grocery kits, food packets, 1000+ menstrual hygiene kits distributed to our pourakarmikas, 1000+ stray animals fed with milk and food, online classes and workshops for orphanage children. We have reached 5000+ beneficiaries during lockdown and continue to serve. My future goal is to start a firm to support youth, children and women who face mental trauma and domestic violence or some sort of abuse , who lack education and to make them aware of their rights to support them , council them to be independent on their own. And I thank all who have been there and stood beside to support me in all my endeavors, I have been awarded with Eastern Bhoomika Women Iconic Award 2020 , “Jana Seva Rathna” award, Was also been selected for REX Karmaveer award for social service which is been recognized by united nations, Social impact award 2019 , Star Rotarian, Great warriors of Humanity Award from International Human Rights Advisory Council and various other recognitions from other organisations.
