Dr. Reena Chadha

Dr. Reena Chadha is a Doctorate in Hydrogeology, from Panjab University; Gold Medallist in Masters of Environment Management, with UGC Qualification for lectureship. She has Post Graduate Diplomas’ in Environment Law, Preventive Environment Management and Business Administration, along with many publications and projects completed in allied subjects of solid waste management, plastic waste management, watershed management, environment impact assessment, artificial recharge, craft development, gender mainstreaming and women empowerment to name a few. Working in the field for more than 23 years, she has also implemented social, environment, economic and gender related safeguards in many CSR and funded projects of ADB, World Bank, JICA, DANIDA, DST, MoEFCC, PPCB etc. in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. She has Implemented innumerable capacity development and entrepreneurship development programmes at grass root level for communities of Punjab especially in the wetland areas. She is presently working as General Manager in Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA). She has also qualified as QCI accredited EIA consultant for sectors of Infrastructure and Development projects, Building Construction Projects, Pharmaceutical Projects and Mining Projects. She is also holding honorary post of Academic Counsellor with IGNOU. She is also a faculty of certificate course on Entrepreneurship in Waste management of Skill council of Green Jobs and TERI. She has recently received an Award of "Punjab Woman Leaders Award" in 11th World Women Leadership Congress Awards on 15th March 2024 and she has received an award of "Iconic Women Creating a Better World for all" at the "Women Economic Forum" in January 2023.
