She is Ex-Director Ranbaxy Research Laboratories wherein she was part of Senior Management for Strategy,Global Collaborations, Acquisitions and Licensing. Professional accomplishment of over 30 years of experience in R&D, Academics and Industry in the field of Pharmaceuticals. B.Pharm (Gold Medalist)from Delhi University in 1984, M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics with distinctions from Delhi University along with Post graduate diploma in Business Management (Gold Medalist) from IMS Delhi in 1986. Continued research in Novel drug delivery for steroidal drugs and completed Ph. D from Delhi University in 1991. Awarded prestigious Commonwealth fellowship in UK to pursue post-doctoral research in Manchester UK 1995-1996. Started career in academics in teaching and research, 1991in the College of Pharmacy, Govt of NCT Delhi, a premier institute affiliated to Delhi University, which is now Delhi Pharmaceutical Science and Research University. In 2000, moved on to Ranbaxy Laboratories, in their R&D group. Ranbaxy at that time was one of the best and largest Indian multinational pharmaceutical company .Helped Ranbaxy to acquire innovative products, drug delivery /development technologies from international companies across the globe and continued to rise on the corporate ladder till 2013. After a very successful stint in Ranbaxy advised clients, incubators and start-ups for technology valuations in Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology industry sectors in India and abroad as an independent Entrepreneur before moving on as Professorin Delhi Pharmaceutical Science and Research University in 2016. As an advisor in the health committee of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, FIICI Biotech Committee member, interacted with governmental agencies to bring out several Health care sector issues of Industry and Academia.
