Neena Naishadh is a passionate art lover with an immense pride for our city – ‘Amdavad’ and its culture. Her travels have given her the opportunity to explore art and culture across the globe and reinforced her aspiration to put Ahmedabad on the map. She strongly believes that art stimulates the intellect, enriches perspectives and gives immense gratification. At the same time, it is becoming an integral part of the new economy and a deciding factor in attracting young talent and businesses to a city. She wants to nurture and protect the rich cultural diversity of Ahmedabad whilst exposing the city to top quality media productions and art exhibitions from India and around the world. With this she initiated Neekoee Foundation, a not for profit section 8 company. Changing minds through Arts is the foundation’s vision, and has influenced young minds through discourse, debates and discussion with the stalwarts in the creative world. In the past year they have initiated Neekoee Artist Grant for the young minds, a unique initiative where the grantees are mentored through the program and motivated and encouraged to think out of the box. Over the years, she has made modest but significant efforts to bring quality theatre, film and art shows, and developed content for children, invited international groups to Ahmedabad and has moved beyond it, influencing young creative souls. She has worked on a couple of films with Amol Palekar on the directorial side. She heads a travel Management company, Uniglobe Perfect Connections and has been a past chair of CII IWN.
