Winner of Customer Delight Award at Asia Pacific level and winner of Demand Generation Award at Global level, my keen interest and passion for Arts made me switch after 12 year of service from Corporate to Arts. I took sabbatical to educate herself in Arts and did ‘Fine Arts’ from Birla Art Academy and post-graduation in ‘Appreciation of Indian Art’ from Nagpur University, India. My experience in Management and knowledge of Arts soon landed me as Director of newly opened ArtsAcre Museum, Kolkata, where I worked closely on programming and made it a place where Uninitiated and professionals both could engage with Arts. After a stint of three years in ArtsAcre I moved on to take larger role at Kolkata Centre for Creativity, Kolkata. At Kolkata Centre for Creativity, I am responsible for Strategic Program Development, Program Operations, Relationship Building, Strategic Partnerships and Collaborations, Marketing, Brand positioning, Accessibility, Outreach and Fundraising. In last one year we have done more than 150 programs at KCC. Impacted more than 2300 people including people of different ethnicities, beliefs, age groups and gender. I champion and facilitate Inclusion, Diversity and Gender Equality in Museums and Art Spaces. I am instrumental in launching the first ‘Accessibility Program’ in Eastern India, that forms a bridge between people with special abilities and Arts. I co-convened the first International conference in India on ‘Gender Mainstreaming and Cultural Rights’. I am pioneering social changes creating an inclusive culture in KCC that addresses different abilities & choices, gender & sexual diversity and marginalization of communities through appreciation and applications of art.
