Dr. Sheetal Vohra is an IPR, Media, Technology, Cyber & Entertainment lawyer who has been practicing since 2000. She provides strategic advice on IP issues both contentious and noncontentious viz., IP clearance, management, acquisition, protection, exploitation and enforcement She has handled high stake IP litigations in various forums like Supreme Court, High Courts, District Courts, IPAB, Trade Marks Registry, Copyright Board, Copyright Registry to name a few. Dr. Vohra has extensively litigated trademark infringement and passing off cases, design cases and copyright cases. Cases argued Dr. Vohra have been reported in legal journals like PTC. The firm takes care of IPR, Media & Technology Law, Cyber Law, Consumer laws, Arbitrations and all other commercial and corporate laws under her guidance. Dr. Vohra has worked in two top boutique IP law firms of India and was heading Trademark & Copyright Division of top full service law firm of India before starting her own law firm M/s Vohra & Vohra. As Managing Partner, she is fully responsible for managing IP portfolio of firm’s clients and assist them in all aspects of prosecution and enforcement including registering their IP viz. oppositions, rectifications, renewals, providing litigation support in case of infringement / passing off, domain name disputes, investigations, enforcements, registering IPR before customs., pursuing complaints before Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Director General of Foreign Trade to check counterfeits from entering India. Her further her responsibilities include spearheading litigation and prosecution practice of the firm. Her practice focuses on advising clients on appropriate strategies for protection of their IPR on worldwide basis and ensuring the registration and enforcement of those rights as well as advising clients on broad range of commercial contracts, licensing agreements and technology transfer agreements. Her role and responsibilities further includes synergizing practice of M/s Vohra & Vohra with those of foreign associates around the world. She interacts with the brightest and most successful IP attorneys and Global in-house IP specialists across jurisdictions in United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Russia, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Iran, South Africa, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Australia. IP Audits and due diligence is another core area of her expertise and she has audited huge portfolios of prestigious Indian Companies. She also assists clients in having IP management practices and systems in place. Dr. Sheetal Vohra has extensive experience in various IP related agreements and agreements pertaining to transfer of IP which includes drafting and vetting of co-existence agreements, tripartite agreements, IP assignments, licensing agreements by identifying all IP’s which can be Out- Licensed and In-Licensed through various modes, identifying and drafting terms that would best harness the commercialization potential of concerned IP’s She is actively involved in creating IP awareness by writing articles in international magazines like Managing IP and by giving talks on protection of IP to industry, scientist community, students in divergent forums. She is a visiting faculty for Northcap University Gurgaon, Amity Law College Noida, Galgotias University. Having an academic bent of mind, she interacts with students from law colleges as well as school students. She has judged moot court competitions in Jindal Global Law School, Army Law School Mohali as well as given orientation to students from Sawai Man Singh Vidyala, Jaipur. Dr. Sheetal Vohra actively attends various national and International conferences having attended APPA & INTA conferences in Adelaide, San Francisco, San Diego, Florida. She is a member of Unfair Competition Committee of INTA.
