Shirley Whing Chow is a Holistic Voice Shaper who inspires children and women to Laugh, Learn, Love and Lead. A certified Social-Emotional Intelligence (SEI) Coach, Shirley has written Resilience Rhapsody for Amazon Bestseller Ignite Your Life for Women, and Resilience Happens for the Keep Smiling - Leadership 4.0 Edition with Ken Rochon. Shirley started as a Chinese American opera coach-pianist, soprano, conductor & musical producer. She has enjoyed three dynamic decades performing, coaching and helping thousands of aspiring artists and children shine on stages across four continents. The University of Texas at Austin, the Austrian-American Mozart Academy, Virginia Opera and Utah Opera are some of the fine institutions she has served. From 2007 to 2018, Shirley was witnessed the epidemic of anxiety and depression in children first-hand when she managed a premier performing arts program in Hong Kong. A PTSD and depressions survivor, Shirley decided to become an emotional wellness advocate. She has produced fundraising concerts like The Magic of Dedication (2017) and The Wonder in Every Woman (2018) to raise mental health and gender equality awareness. Additionally, Shirley began speaking internationally about emotional wellness and SEI for the World Academy for the Future of Women in China, the Women Economic Forum(WEF) in Los Angeles and Annual WEF 2020 Egypt. She was honored with the awards of Iconic Woman for Creating a Better World for All Award (2018) and Exception Women of Excellence(2020). Passionate about volunteering, she’s co-produced the Hong Kong PhilanthroKids Giving Tuesday 2019 Awards. Shirley serves on the Ellamo Foundation Advisory Board, and is a founding member of Women H2H and a Keep Smiling Ambassador. Shirley has performed and arranged music for the movie The War at Home, and coached singers in the 2020 blockbuster The Rescue.
