Claudia Mirza is the CEO and co-founder of Akorbi, the 27th largest language service provider in the world. Akorbi is amultilingual business solutions company serving global clients with interpretation, staffing, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), localization and learning services in over 170 languages. Claudia is a published author in key industry publications, a sought-after speaker, a mother of two, a mentor, daughter and a philanthropist. She has been featured in Forbes, Inc. Magazine, TIME, Fortune and by Google as an advocate for small and women-owned businesses. As the 2016 US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Woman of the Year, Claudia was invited to the White House to meet with the current administration representing small and women-owned businesses. Claudia is a Harvard Business School Alumni from the prestigious Owner/President Management (OPM) Program, Class 52 as well is an independent thinker focused on the economic empowerment of women and the global economy. Claudia is on the board of the Women Presidents’ Organization and is the treasurer of the WPO’s Foundation. Additionally, she is a member of YPO, IWEC, the Women Economic Forum, IWF and the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She holds a business management degree from Cotecnova, Cartago, Colombia and is a graduate of the Tuck-WBENC Executive Education Program at the Tuck School of Business. In addition, she has a management certificate from the Southern Methodist University Cox Executive Education Program and a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from the DeVry Institute of Technology.
