Astrid is the founder and driving force behind Nordic India Innovation (NII), an initiative dedicated to enhancing awareness among Nordic stakeholders about business opportunities, market trends, and innovation ecosystems in India. Through NII, she actively builds bridges between Nordic countries and India, fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and strategic engagement across sectors.
During 2019–2020, Astrid interned with the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in New Delhi, where she gained hands-on experience in bilateral trade and institutional relations. She was subsequently deputed by the Chamber to the Swedish Consulate General in Mumbai, where she contributed to the preparations for the Swedish Royal State Visit in December 2019, supporting high-level diplomatic and business engagements.
Astrid first came to India in 2017 as a research student in Political Science and Urban Studies at Savitribai Phule Pune University, during her enrolment in the prestigious Euroculture Erasmus Mundus Master’s program. Her long-standing engagement with India and Europe–India relations was further recognized in 2021, when she was listed by EICBI as one of the “40 Under 40 Europe–India Leaders,” highlighting her growing influence in strengthening cross-regional cooperation.
