Prof. (Dr.) Richa Ranjan is a distinguished academician, administrator, and legal education leader, currently serving as Director Principal of Swami Devi Dyal Law College, Panchkula, a position she has held with distinction for over 17 years. She holds a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M., and Ph.D. from M.D. University, Rohtak, along with a Diploma in Labour Laws, a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights, and a certification in Negligence and Laws. With over three decades of academic and administrative experience, she has also served as Ex-Dean and Head of the University School of Law at Rayat Bahra University, Mohali, contributing significantly to legal education and institutional development.

A passionate educator and mentor, Prof. (Dr.) Ranjan has supervised extensive research leading to LL.M. and Ph.D. degrees and has published numerous research papers in national and international legal journals. Her commitment to inclusive education and social responsibility is reflected in her tireless efforts to equip students with essential legal competencies, transferable skills, and strong ethical values. She has played a pivotal role in shaping responsible legal professionals grounded in dignity, leadership, and service.

Throughout her career, she has actively organized and led Legal Aid Camps and Clinics, particularly in rural India, along with initiatives such as Mock Parliaments, Moot Courts, national and international conferences, and workshops. A sought-after speaker and panel judge at prestigious forums, she has authored several articles focusing on women’s issues and relevant legal frameworks. Her exemplary contributions have been recognized through multiple honors, including the International Golden Padma Award, Womania Award (2021), 51 Influential Women Haryana Award, and recognitions from Lions Club, Bharat Vikas Parishad, and WICCI on Women’s Day.
