Ferda Canozer Paksoy

Ferda Paksoy graduated from Istanbul  University's Law Faculty and has practiced as a lawyer since 1985, as a member of the Istanbul Bar Association.

After practiced as a lawyer rin Criminal, Commercial, Civil and Press Law arenas for 22 years  she attended to a” Mediation” class of a  LLM programme in Bilgi University as a”special student” on 2006-2007. By the end of this programme, she owned a scholarship to attend  International Post-Graduate Course “Making and Saving the Deals” on Resolving Business Disputes Internationally, in Rome-Italy. This programme was a joint summer programme of Rome University and Hamline University with ADR Italy. She had an internship as a mediator  in UNDP Rome for a month in 2007.  She joined to the discussion and presentation meetings of the commision of Mediation Law for Turkey, as a representative of UBA. She completed court-annexed mediation program in San Francisco as a JAMS fellow in 2011.  Ferda  practiced as a lawyer and separately as a company owner before qualifying as an accredited mediator in 2007. She worked as a” key expert” and a trainer in “Better Access to Justice” Project which was run by MOJ (Ministery of Justice and an Internatıonal  Concorcium funded by EU. ( 2007-2009) She has over 60 hours mediation and legal aid training experience and also provides training in mediation. She had been invited different conferences about” Mediation in Turkey” from Euorope and NY. She also joined several projects about mediation and legal aid for local and international NGOs. Ferda is currently working as a freelance mediator. She’s a trainer at İstanbul Bilgi University and founder of ADRISTANBUL Platform.
