Mahak Kansara is a recently admitted Advocate with a focused practice spanning Intellectual Property Rights, Entertainment and Media Law, Human Rights, Artificial Intelligence, Data Privacy, and Public Interest Law. She is deeply committed to using law as a tool for social impact, particularly in matters concerning women, children, education, and environmental justice. Registered with the Bar Council of Rajasthan, she combines strong academic credentials with hands-on legal practice and policy-oriented work.
As an Independent Counsel, Mahak advises start-ups, inventors, creators, and brand owners on IP strategy, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Her work includes drafting and prosecuting applications, handling oppositions, attending trademark hearings, and preparing legal instruments such as NDAs, cease-and-desist notices, legal opinions, and feasibility reports. She also contributes scholarly writing and analysis on national and international IP developments, with particular interest in the public domain and free culture movements.
Alongside her legal practice, Mahak serves as a Program Officer at the Centre for Gender Justice and Child Rights, where she develops field manuals, campaigns, and workshops addressing domestic violence, sexual harassment, and child welfare.
