With a strong academic foundation in Applied Psychology from the University of Delhi and Panjab University, along with a certificate in Human Resource Management, she has been shaping mental health conversations since her early years as a student leader and mentor.

A defining chapter in her journey came through her Fellowship in Mental Health Education at NIMHANS, Bangalore, where she contributed to pioneering initiatives such as Buddy for Suicide Prevention, spoken-word platforms on mental health, and Stigma Against Stories, India’s first walking tour within a mental health institution. She also co-edited the Journal of Mental Health Education and mentored interdisciplinary programmes, establishing herself as a thought leader in public engagement around mental health. Currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Manav Rachna University, she is researching the intersection of social media, consumer behaviour, fashion, and sustainability, further expanding her multidisciplinary impact.

Beyond academia and advocacy, Jigyasa is a published author and poet, with her collection Echoes of the Rebellious Mind exploring themes of love, identity, and resilience. Her professional contributions span academic, corporate, legal, and correctional settings, including work with MDI Gurgaon, Bosch Adugodi, Delhi State Legal Services Authority, and Tihar Jail. Through PSY-FI, she has conceptualised initiatives like Project Baani, Project Mamta, and Peer for Prevention, all showcased at Mental Health Santhe 4.0. Recognised with honours such as the Noam Chomsky Excellence Award and Global Icon in Mental Health, and featured across platforms including TEDx, Hindustan Times, and DD National, Jigyasa continues to build inclusive spaces where mental health education is accessible, creative, and community-driven.
