Uma Kesani

State President, Telangana Social Entrepreneurship Council

Uma is a social entrepreneur. She is currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Nirmaan.org, a global non-profit organization which impacted 20 lakh lives of underprivileged children, youth, women, persons with disabilities, LGBTQ+ communities, tribals and farmers in eighteen states of India. She has been serving Nirmaan since 2010. She was selected as one of the Top 20 Young Women Leaders of the country under the She Represents Program by the Indian School of Democracy, New Delhi. She also represented India at Female Leadership Academy, in Thailand, organized by IFLRY, a Geneva-based organization where women from over 10 countries joined and shared their views on women’s leadership.
